Oak, beech or hornbeam: which suits you?

• Oak: dense hardwood (around 700 to 750 kg/m³) with a long burn time and steady heat, ideal for evening and overnight burning
• Beech: dense hardwood (around 700 to 750 kg/m³) with a high heat output, a stable fire and a lively flame
• Hornbeam: one of the heaviest and hardest European hardwoods (around 750 to 800 kg/m³) with a heat output of around 4.1 kWh/kg. Burns longer than oak or beech

Please note: 33cm logs will not fit every stove, so measure the inside of your firebox before ordering. Hardwoods also need a good start: build your fire with the free kindling and a firelighter and it will be burning well within minutes.

Smaller firebox? Go for 25cm logs

If 33cm is too long for your stove, our full pallet of 25cm kiln dried logs with free kindling is the better choice, with a wider selection of hardwoods to pick from.

Light your hardwood with ease

Pair your free kindling with our natural firelighters and wood wool firelighters for a quick and reliable fire, even with oak or hornbeam.
