Neatly packed in sturdy crates. I also ordered alder wood last year. It burns quickly and gives off a lot of heat, though it does burn out faster than beech or oak.
Easy to stack, attractive pieces, virtually no ‘waste’. Provided you remove a few nails, some of the crates’ planks can be reused as rough timber.
