Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ready to Burn certification?
Ready to Burn is the UK's official certification for firewood and solid fuels with a moisture content of 20% or below. All our kiln dried logs carry the Ready to Burn mark, which means they are approved for sale in England under the government's air quality regulations and ready to burn straight away with no drying time needed. Choosing Ready to Burn certified logs means a cleaner, more efficient fire with less smoke, less tar build up in your chimney and more heat from every log.

For use in a hot tub
Review by
Ronald
The fire is easy to light and maintain. However, there are too many very large logs for the hot tub, which are difficult to burn through completely.
Dry and easy to light.
Lovely flames

Well-stacked but a bit messy inside
Review by
Mi
Well packed but a bit haphazardly inside, so there was less in it than there could have been.
Customer service was excellent. Delivery was smooth. The wood is good quality. The stacking is neater than on the previous pallet, which was better put together.
The pallet isn't quite full.

The wood is dry and ready to use. And for the handy user, the wooden packaging can be used as kindling. In short, highly recommended.

I’m very happy with the delivery, and especially with the driver who brought it.
He was from Tunisia and spoke good English and, above all, French. We had a nice chat in French.
He was friendly and helpful, and together we put the pallet in the right place.
Keep this man on as a driver. You couldn’t ask for better publicity for your business than staff like this!!

High-quality wood
Review by
Koenraad Eggers
This is the second year I’ve ordered half a pallet of beech wood from Houtgigant. One pallet lasts me about a year. The wood-burning stove in my holiday home is only used at weekends and during the holidays. The wood is well-stacked and compact, thoroughly dry and burns for a long time. It’s a pleasure to burn and provides a constant source of heat.
Fast delivery and a fair price.
Thank you.
Will be delivered to the kerb. Needs to be moved 25 metres.
