The logs had barely been split.

Unlike the previous pallets of hornbeam, these were knotty logs that barely fit in the stove. There were also plenty that hadn’t even been cut to 25 cm. Not exactly practical!
The wood was perfectly dry, though! So it did burn.
Chopped too coarsely!
