Very fast delivery, good-quality timber and extremely practical thanks to the delivery on pallets. We used to struggle with loose timber. The contact with the haulage company Intertrans was very friendly (regarding the delivery date), the delivery was on time and the driver was extremely friendly. We’ll be happy to order from Holz Gigant again in future.

Great timber! It was just the delivery that went completely wrong. On the day of delivery, we received a phone call from the driver in the afternoon saying he thought the lorry wouldn’t be able to get down our street??? We then received a call from the haulage contractor asking if delivery could be postponed by a day. We’d been told that deliveries scheduled between 8.00 and 9.00 am would be delivered first. None of that happened; after we rang the haulier again – who claimed to know nothing about it – the lorry arrived at around 10.45 am. It turned out the driver had already delivered many other consignments and was the last to arrive at our place. It’s really annoying when you’ve taken a day off to unload the goods and appointments aren’t honoured!!!

The beech wood is absolutely ready to use. We’ve had some major disappointments in the past with well-known suppliers: the wood was dry on the outside but wet on the inside, started to smoke after 10 minutes, went mouldy whilst in storage, and so on. That’s not the case here.
The driver from the haulage company was extremely helpful and friendly; I’d like him to be the one to deliver from now on.

We usually order our timber from a local supplier. The quality of this beech timber was better, the cuts are neater (which means less mess when it comes to storage and moving it around indoors) and the delivery was excellent. We’ll definitely be ordering again!
