RUF briquettes get their name from the original pressing machine used to make them. Wood residue with a moisture content under 10% is compressed under high pressure, releasing the natural lignin in the wood that binds the briquette together, with no added glue or chemicals needed.

Tip! Use a pair of natural firelighters or wood wool firelighters to get started, then place two briquettes side by side with a third on top to create a small tunnel.
